This long-distance move took us from Southeast Des Moines, Iowa, to Chicago, Illinois, where we helped a client relocate from a studio apartment to a high-rise residential building. With a two-man crew, we efficiently loaded a 15-foot box truck in just two hours, leaving some extra space available in the truck.
About this move
After loading, we immediately began the approximately six-hour drive to Chicago and arrived around 4:30 PM. Once on-site, we quickly began unloading the truck. The client’s new apartment was located on the 32nd floor, which required multiple trips using the building’s freight elevator. While the unloading process took additional time due to the distance from the truck to the apartment, having access to the freight elevator made the move much more manageable. Overall, the relocation was completed successfully, and we were happy to help our client settle into their new home.
