We’re a local moving company that started with a college move, a borrowed truck, and a handful of friends who showed up. Three years and hundreds of moves later, that’s still how we work.
Our Story
How we started
My moving journey began in 2019 after graduating from college. Like many recent graduates, I needed to move out of my dorm and back to Des Moines, Iowa. At the time, I had no experience with moving and wasn’t sure where to start. Thankfully, a few close friends stepped in to help. One brought a truck, another brought tools, and others showed up ready to lend a hand.
What could have been a stressful experience turned out to be smooth and manageable because of the support I received. That experience inspired me to start Midwest Moving Pros. I realized how much of a difference reliable help can make during a move, and I wanted to build a company that people could count on during one of life’s biggest transitions.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve been proudly serving our community for over three years. We’ve helped hundreds of families, individuals, and businesses move throughout the Des Moines area and across the Midwest. Our mission is simple: provide dependable, professional moving services while making every move as stress-free as possible.

The quote is the invoice
You get a written, itemized quote up front. No surprise charges on move day. No vague hourly windows that mysteriously stretch out. The price you see is the price you pay — $160 per hour for local moves, with one $100 flat add for items too heavy for a standard crew.

Same crew, start to finish
The crew that arrives at your origin is the same crew that unloads at your destination. We employ our own movers — we don’t use brokers, day labor, or last-minute subcontractors. You’ll know who is moving your home before move day.

Showed up like family would
The whole company started because friends showed up for me when I needed help. That’s the standard. Our crews wrap furniture like it’s their grandmother’s, communicate when something changes, and treat your home like they’d treat their own.
